Steps for UAE Embassy Attestation/Legalization of Documents
Initial Attestation by the Consular Section of the Ministry of External Affairs, India:
Ensure all the required documents are in order and copies are available.
Submit the documents to the Consular Section of the Ministry of External Affairs, India, for initial attestation.
This step applies to all documents except educational certificates.
Additional Attestation for Educational Documents:
If the documents to be attested are educational certificates, they must first be attested by the Education Ministry of the concerned state before proceeding to the Ministry of External Affairs for attestation.
Attestation by the UAE Embassy:
Once the documents have been attested by the appropriate authorities in India, they must be submitted to the UAE Embassy for further attestation.
Embassy Fee of Rs. 3750 per document is applicable for attestation at the UAE Embassy.
The UAE Embassy’s consular section operates from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. from Monday to Thursday and from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Friday.
Document Retrieval:
Documents that have been attested by the UAE Embassy can be collected on the same day between 3:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M.

For documents other than educational certificates, such as Marriage, Birth, Experience, Affidavits, FIRs of lost passports, Commercial documents, etc., they only require attestation by the Ministry of External Affairs, India.
For attestation of commercial documents, the fee depends on the nature of the matter, and the invoice fee varies with the invoice value. For specific inquiries regarding commercial document attestation or any other questions, it is advisable to get in touch with the UAE Embassy’s Consular Section.
